Welcome to the Online Shiller Ratio Calculator
The Shiller Ratio also known as the CAPE ratio or the P/E10 ratio was developed by Dr. Robert Shiller and is essentially a modified version of the P/E ratio which is more geared towards the value investor.
To find the Shiller Ratio value for an individual stock please utilize the calculator found below. Simply insert the ticker symbol of your publicly traded stock for the result. For Example: to search IBM insert IBM, or to search DuPont insert DD.
We have recently removed the Calculator from this site and reposted it to our new site at www.caperatio.com
This calculator to determine the Shiller Ratio is still within the testing phase. So if it returns a nonsensical answer please fill out the request form to the right and send us the ticker symbol that was used along with the name of the stock and we will fix it and return the answer. Thanks for your help in making this better!
Limitations:
This only works with publicly traded stocks listed with an exchange and will not work for OTC stocks. Additionally it will not work on stocks that have less then 10 years of data as by definition the ratio needs at least 10 years for calculation. The calculator on this site is not for an Index such as the S&P 500, however please see our next tab for a link with this data/calculation.
